Curry Powder/Sambhar Powder
Ingredients
Red Chillies - 500gms
Dhaniya - 500 gms
Jeera - 25 gms
Pepper corns -25 gms
Turmeric - 25 gms
Preparation
Dry roast all the ingredients separately, except turmeric in a frying pan. Mix them all together and allow to cool. Then grind it in the machine/mill for having very fine powder. For people who don't have this facility as in India, it can be powdered in the mixie too. This powder can be used for preparing sambhar, pulikuzhambu, non veg gravies. I would say it is an all purpose masala powder that can be used to prepare any kind of gravy.
